Ontem, graças à minha mãe e às suas mãos arrumadeiras, descobri um pequeno bloco com dez anos no qual me dediquei durante algum tempo a escrever letras de canções (já na altura...) e citações de gente famosa. No meio, arrisquei escrever uns versos, largamente inspirados pela curta metragem "Vincent" do Mestre Tim Burton.

Agora arrisco a deixá-la aqui...

There once was a boy stupid as
a donkey,
always nice and polite but with a problem:
he was a junkie.

When he was high he was
satisfied and gay,
with all the morphine and cocain
his money could pay.

Always drunk and always
doped with the drugs he took,
he began to get so thin and ugly
that nobody could even bear to look.

Monstrously deformed, lunatic
and insane,
he kept on taking drugs
just to ease his terrifying pain.

He imagined voices and terrible
creatures that only existed in his head.
But he didn't cryed for help or for his friends
he took more drugs instead.

More and more and more
there were no stops,
untill one day in the street
when he was finally caught by the cops.

Now he lives in a mental institution
hopelessly lost, hopelessly ill,
without any chance of taking
morphine or cocain, just that daily pill.

He has become a vegetable,
a worm a slug,
due to his decision of simply
turning off the plug.
